Many of us like to rely on Royal Mail and other private courier services for the distribution of letters, packets and parcels. However, it’s important to ensure they are packed adequately to guarantee your items arrive in one piece when using these services.
For non-fragile items it’s very simple to choose the cheapest method in which to send a package to keep your postage costs to a minimum. Simply place them in a post safe polythene bag. These are extremely resistant and waterproof, which ensures the item will remain safe and dry even if left on the front doorstep awaiting the customer’s arrival.
However, for fragile items, things get a whole lot more complicated. Post and Packing sell all the materials you would need to pack your parcels safely. We have numerous sized boxes, rolls of bubble wrap, foam chips and void fill.
Alternatively, we can offer you our packing services in-house. Just bring your items into our shop and we will be happy to pack it there and then for you. If you have an item that is too large to go in one of our traditional sized boxes, we will make up a box to suit the size of the item you’re trying to ship. We will ensure your items are packed sufficiently before they leave our store or advise you accordingly on the best way to protect your items during transit.
Alternatively, for very large multiple items a pallet service might be a very good option.
